The Nabila Breir Award

J.Roby Kidd Nabila Breir, was born in Haifa, Palestine in 1944, was an active member of the ICAE Woman's Programme and a member of the ICAE Programme advisory Committee. She was committed to the Palestinian struggle and to raising awareness about the difficulties facing those involved in adult education in that part of the world. She was killed in Beirut in 1986. ICAE set up the Nabila Breir Fund in her honour.
This $2,000 (Cdn) award is given each year to women's organizations engaged in innovative educational programming or projects for Palestinian women.
